Those having the issue, if you start the car and adjust the QL do you hear the sound at all?

Don't know if this might have something to do at all.

Electronic Stability Control (ESC) Clicking Noise
The driver may notice a clicking sound coming from the front or underneath the vehicle. This occurs when the vehicle is traveling above 35 mph and during the first portion of a drive cycle. The ESC system will run a calibration routine and if the driver lifts off of the gas pedal, the ESC system will stop the test because the drive may need to brake. The clicking sound is the valves in the ESC system. Once the calibration routine is successful, the noise will not return until the next ignition cycle. Once the ESC system has learned 50 times, the calibration will not be run during every ignition cycle. The sound may also become less noticeable over time. This sound is normal and no service needs to be done.

That is the speed I noticed the sound but I wouldn't characterize it as clicking. I can't remember now if the noise went away by the end if the test drive.

Re: 2014 Overland Buzzer Sound while driving

To me it sounded like it was coming from the AC vent like it was an AC door vibrating.

I agree with snooker. It sounds almost like two plastic pieces resonating when the engine hits 1400 - 1500 RPM. I can make it repeat the noise consistently around 50 MPH when the vehicle is in 8th gear and I hold the RPM's. I plan on taking it in at the 3000 mile service to get looked at (along with the rattling sunroof). I am in the Detroit/Novi area if anyone from Chrysler want's to take a look...

I agree with the above statement. I heard it in the two Overlands I test drove, V6 and V8, and I hear it in my Overland V8.

Exactly what I noticed as well. Fingers crossed the solution won't envolve dropping the car at the dealer and have all the leather scratched in the process or worse.

Hopefully it is something they left loose that can be easility tightened and it is not being caught in the QA checklist yet.

Anyone had any luck having Chrysler look into it?

Re: 2014 Overland Buzzer Sound while driving

This is the response I got from the jeep Facebook page. If everyone who is having the problem will respond maybe they will hurry up and take action. Going to pick up my car tomorrow. I'm hoping it doesn't occur but I have my doubts.

"Hey Ralph, we would encourage owners experiencing this issue to use the "Customer Assistance" link here:
Jeep - Contact Us

or to contact us directly at 1-877-IAM-JEEP (1-877-426-5337)."

Re: 2014 Overland Buzzer Sound while driving

Well... I logged a case with them but Chrysler's response is just tell the dealer. Which I did to no results.

It seems we just need to wait until it creates so much weight for Chrysler that they decide to look into it.

Re: 2014 Overland Buzzer Sound while driving

As nice of a SUV the Grand Cherokee is it is really a shame that Jeep can't get its shit together when it comes to build quality. This is the one and only reason I have not pulled the trigger on a new one yet. It seems after every refresh it takes at least 3 years before they work out all the kinks and that is just unacceptable. Maybe my expectations are skewed coming from a history of Acura, Mercedes, and Audi but I don't think so. At least when their cars display a problem they are corrected in a timely, efficient, well done manner and every last attempt is made to keep me happy. With Jeep you have to twist arms just to get them to acknowledge a problem and then they usually end up doing more damage trying to fix it.

Re: 2014 Overland Buzzer Sound while driving

I will say that my 2011, which we purchased not even a year after production started in January 2011, has been completely trouble free.

Re: 2014 Overland Buzzer Sound while driving

It is not audio related. It is mechanical.
