2014 Overland Navigation speaker?

Got the 2014 Overland w/ 8.4AN radio. When the nice navigation lady speaks to me for a turn or to let me know I am speeding, I only hear her on the driver side speakers. Is this by design or a defect?

That way I have an ear free to listen to the lady in the passenger seat tell me which way SHE thinks I should go.
