No not at all......expansion and contraction due to heat/cool cycles plus an incorrectly installed hose and/or clamp could cause such a leak.
Our Diesel Overland also has 6500 miles and If I spotted a small leak I would definitely check them first. If not, then take 'er in. Your vehicle you do what you like mate....
