Re: 2014 Quadra-lift: "easy entry" option not appearing on UConnect menu?

I was JUST wondering this this morning. I'm getting frustrated with forgetting to press the button.

I have an alarm to remind me to press the button, my wife. That little bit of lowering into exit level makes a big difference to her, so she is conditioning me to do it every time I park. Soon it will become second nature, I hate alarms.

Yea I'm slowly starting to remember to push it more too. Push garage door than park mode. Away from home it's tougher. Agree little lower makes a difference to 4'10" tall wife.

It is in the new version of the manual on page 382. We just picked up our sumit on the 15th of July. The option is still not in the settings. I am going to call jeep and see what they say. I will let you know what I find out from jeep.

No need to call on this there's already a published starcase that explains that this option is a late production option.

Any word if it will be an update to all 2014s or only available to vehicles after that date?

Unlike the start stop ACC which we have confirmed cannot be added, this is possibly available as a software upgrade BUT that has yet to be confirmed

Trust me ..you do not want it to be an automatic feature. After I got my long awaited Summit and had it about a week, I lowered it to let my wife out and went to park and it scraped on a curb I was parking against! I learned my lesson the hard way and now park back from all curbs or raise it up!

You are quoting the reason I was never really worried about it. For some people it is a big deal and for a while there I was under the impression it was not coming due to what you speak of. As with all things this may change but my understanding is that it is coming.

Even when the Jeep is lowered, isn't it still as high as most vehicles on the road?

Fully lowered it is the same curb height as my current Durrango, maybe the JGC is still a pinch higher.
