Slightly off-topic but not. I am baffled by what could cause the ACC w/ stop to not be software updateable. My only guess would be a new control module which has different guts

I would like it as an option to be either on or off not as much for myself but some family members who would find it beneficial when they are riding in the car.

Yea, I picked up my ordered Ltd last Sunday, it was an early August build, and I was keen to see that it has this option. I turned it on, it works a treat.

In practice it's better for entry than exit, since most of the time folks simply won't wait for it to lower as it won't start until you go in to Park. And it will stop lowering as soon as you open the door. But when the doors close, it finishes.

It's helpful and noticeable, and I'm grateful to have it.

If all the doors are closed, and it finishes lowering, does the engine need to be on, or does it finish lowering with the engine off?

No, it's just running off the battery at that point. You can hear a noise from the car (I assume it's some kind of pump).

I have not tried it, but you may be able to duplicate the effect with the ignition in "Accessory" mode.

I would presume that doing this in advance of your destination is best because I pull into a parking area and turn off the GC. when that happens PARK will not work. Then I get out and a few minutes later you can see the vehicle lowering. Is this normal? thanks

As far as I understand it, the only thing that stops the lowering is opening the doors. Turning off the car won't do it, I don't think, it just won't (obviously) show on the display.

On mine, as soon as I close the doors, you can hear it immediately kick in and start lowering the vehicle.

Hitting the button while prowling the parking lot to set it up, just means you're already at exit height when you stop the car. For me it's awkward as the button is on the other side of the console, so I don't to that routinely yet, and I have yet to train my wife to do on the go as well.

But in the end, getting out of the taller vehicle is easier than getting in, and it's lowered by the time we get back, so it's less of an issue.

Does anyone know if older builds will get this update? Is it an update of uconnect, what version of uconnect are you running?
