What is strange is that when I bought it 2 months ago it was there and when selected it worked. A few days later that feature disappeared. I believe there was another topic about this back then.
I had my radio replaced a few weeks ago and just started getting the vehicle phone needs service message on the new radio. Am I going to need another replacement?
I get the radio needs service/red light on rearview mirror once in awhile but everything else works (sat/radio/nav) just the uconnect features are down. Now the odd thing I stop the car, open the door for 20 seconds then close the door and start up and the uconnect is working. I also noticed this seems to happen when I am leaving the parking garage I use and I have to wait for other cars to exit before I do. Cell reception can be spotty or even no signal at times so I wonder if after I start my car and go to leave the Uconnect system has trouble getting it's initial signal and then times out/fails while I sit in line to exit the parking garage.
Either way I don't notice any other issues with my radio
I had this happen also the other day. I started my JGC in a place with no cell reception. The message came up. It stayed on a few minutes then when I got cell service it went away.
I'm running a newly replaced radio with 13.31.6 firmware. New issues include:
* Vehicle sticks in entry/exit mode at ANY speed
* Bluetooth audio cuts out when entering 'Control' menu
* Navigation in 'Settings' will sometimes cause menu to randomly close
* Steering headlight function works regardless of whether it is set on or off
* Crash avoidance crap functions regardless of whether it is set on or off (I call my WK Christine, because the automatic braking often tries to kill me)
