Service manager refused, so now my case manager is working with the dealer. I've had my jeep sux weeks, on my third radio and its been at the dealer 10 days. They are going to replace the pieces or I will get an attorney involved. I know the trim pieces are prob expensive but tough. They messed up, I'm sure they have insurance for these type of things. Thoughts??
If they scratched it, they should replace it.

I think it is absurd that they replaced the radio that many times. Failure rates are not that high, or you have the worst luck of anyone in the world. They should be looking for another cause. I guess service departments really haven't gotten up to speed on todays electronics.

They def have not gotten up to speed. I know my problems are minor compared to some, but the vehicle is not working as designed. I'm going to push for a replacement.

Re: 2014 Uconnect issues and such....

I'm very frustrated with this UConnect system. I've had my Overland for about a month now. I just drove back from SC to Texas, and it rebooted or went crazy at least 20-30 times the whole way. I couldn't believe it. I haven't reported it to the dealership yet...probably a waste, but I'll do it. Ugh.

Please check the version of the software it is running.... there have been some user updates to correct problems.

In is in an information screen right on the radio.... also is your radio "access registered"

Re: 2014 Uconnect issues and such....

Seems to me, everytime they come out with a new update, the VR gets worse and worse. Mine worked pretty well when I got the vehicle back in March. Since then, I've installed 2 updates and the VR is pretty much useless.

Bob, do you ever remember me saying about re-installing the same version of 13.19.0 to fix VR? I made a little "Willx Report" on it back in June....

Anyway, you would find this entertaining... Last week Chrysler released a STAR Case saying to do just that with certain complaints and VR not starting properly is one of those concerns.

I would suggest you try re-installing 13.19.0 again on your radio. It may clear the issue up for you?

Thanks. Yes I have read your info about reinstalling 13.19.0. I did it once over a month ago but I guess I can do it again. Guess it can't hurt.

As it is Ironically part of official procedures (as of early Sept) I would try that... It could save you a trip to the dealer and it is only about 10 minutes if you have the USB around.
