Going back in on Monday morning... Rattle, and now the radio screen blanks out now and then, and first oil change

Thumbs down Re: 2014 V6 Rattle?

Hey guys I m new to this thread but i also do have the same problem with my 2014 overland and it only happens while accelerating gently on the gas pedal. It doesn't seem to happen when the car is cold but as soon as it warms up the noise is there. Hopefully we can get a TSB on this issue. For a 47k suv these kind of problems are really unacceptable. Thank you all for pointing this out.

Re: 2014 V6 Rattle?

Had my muffler replaced but noise is still present.
They are now bringing a tech specialist.
Fingers crossed...
I do want to say the dealer who I am working with is really trying.
I thank them for the hard work trying to get this resolved.
Stand by...

Re: 2014 V6 Rattle?

Spoke with my stealership (who has done nothing to try to resolve this issue, btw), and they indicated that Chrysler is aware of this issue on many 2014 JGC's, particularly 4x4 versions. They indicated that they think the problem may be related to the transmission/transfer case and they think it could be resolved with a software update (if or when is anyone's guess). Chrysler customer care stated they had no clue what the cause of the problem was or if a fix was in the works. Has anyone else heard anything along these lines, or is the dealership just blowing smoke??
As many have stated previously, spending $40k+ on a vehicle, you expect more than "we don't know what to do" when you purchase a DEFECTIVE vehicle. For what it's worth, I'm beginning a letter-writing campaign to inform Chrysler's executive's of their company's failure re. this issue. Deficient engineering design, poor manufacturing quality control, completely useless dealer service departments, useless customer care complaint resolution process, total lack of communication btwn corporate/dealership/customer.... C'mon chrysler get it together! This is the best of what you're made of??

I feel your pain!
I can actually say that I have never enjoyed my truck since the time I have purchased it. Complete drag.
The specialist tech guy comes this week.
Fingers crossed.
Does anyone have any idea what happens if the specialist tech guy can't fix the noise?
I'm feeling if this guy can't I've run out of roads....

Okay I think my rattle may be different from what I am reading here. Mine happens over 55 mph and it is a clicking/rattle coming from the driver side dashboard area. Does not happen all the time and when I take it in to the dealer (3times now) it doesn't happen for them. Tell me what you think.

Re: 2014 V6 Rattle?

Good luck Truckie,
My Jeep stayed in the shop for a week last time. Chrysler paid for me to have a crappy rental. They replaced the "radio" to fix the dashboard from crashing....which now all 2014 JGC are being recalled to fix this. But they couldn't find the rattle. I drove it home from shop and it rattled the whole way. Just sick about this whole thing. I paid too much money to be this disappointed.

@ jeepwomen ....
I just spoke to my dealer they claim to have found the noise coming from the AC hose which came unclipped in the engine compartment near the dash.... We will see....
I asked about my radio and dash blacking out they said they could not find any updates for that you had mentioned your radio was replaced? What state are you in?

You can update the Radio yourself or at least check if there should be an update.

Uconnect update
