2014 wk2 lemon? Transmission problems

I know there are a lot of folks having problems with the transmission/drive performance of their 2014 v6. I've made several trips to the dealer, been through all the updates, had the trans "reprogrammed", and tried the disconnect negative terminal trick. All made some kind of change but never got close to fixing the issues.

I can't keep paying this much for a car that drives so poorly and I'm wondering if anyone else has gotten fed up enough to try and get out of their purchase/lease. I was hoping this was going to be a 10 year vehicle for me and 6 months in I can't stand driving it. Some days it feels like I'm breaking the transmission.

Re: 2014 wk2 lemon? Transmission problems

How many times have you been to the dealer for this problem? If the dealer acknowledges the problem and has a STAR case opened on the issue, keep going, they'll either get it fixed for good or replace the tranny/controller or both. Check your state's lemon law, if you have over 4 documented trips within 12 mos for the same issue- still unresolved - that usually does the trick. You can also try to escalate the issue with Jeep Customer Care to get it resolved. If there is no hope to fix it, then the only choice is the buy-out route. If they have fixes to try, it should eventually get resolved for good.
