I would like to know does anyone else hear a squeaking sound when you turn your steering wheel either direction. Every time I turn the steering wheel either left or right, I can hear a squeak coming from the engine compartment. It was so loud that my wife can hear the Jeep before I even pulled into my garage. You can hear the sound more if you are outside then being inside the Jeep. Just want your opinion.

It is coming from the tension pulley, each time the steering wheel is turning left or right the tension pulley is moving causing the squeaking sound. Is this normal?
Please describe the movement. The pulley should spin but remain stationary on its mount. If you are saying that the pulley is sliding in and out on the shaft it spins on, this is not normal. It should be any easy fix.

Thank You! You know what is funny, I have dropped this car off to the dealer yesterday and just got it back today. They still cannot figure out what is the problem and said they don't hear the sound no more. Will today while pulling in to my garage I can hear it. Guess it is going back to the dealership again.
