They are pulling your leg. The spline has nothing to do with it. It can be corrected by adjusting the tie rod ends

The next thing will be to replace the Fortera tires although they are in near perfect condition. The Jeep don't track straight at highway speeds. Good below highway speeds. If anyone had any idea on how to fix, please post. Thanks

It could also be your tires that are causing your wheel to be off a little bit at speed. Unless if you let the wheel go and it goes straight it's not the tires it's the alignment that's off. My 15 altitude wheel is off to the right a little bit but I don't want to be bothered bringing it back to jeep. They will probably make it worse.

I worked in a garage for a while but I don't have access to alignment equipment anymore or I would do my own

Maybe there is; I'm no expert.

Even if those parts are off by a tooth or spline it can still be corrected with an alignment. To me it seems like an alignment software issue. Almost like when they align the jeeps with the 20" rims they are using the 18" rim option or something of that nature

Re: 2015 WK2 Crooked Steering Wheel

Took mine in today for the off center steering wheel. Left the dealer and found that it was then off center to the opposite side. Turned around and went back at at dealer and had tech ride with me. He observed and took it back in. It's now almost perfect. Maybe 1 degree off to the right but much better than it was. Still need to drive some more to determine...

Re: 2015 WK2 Crooked Steering Wheel

Just got a 2015 HA and my steering wheel is off to the right when going straight just like on my 2014 overland. I'll have them
Fix it when i get a wood steering wheel to swap.

Re: 2015 WK2 Crooked Steering Wheel

For what it's worth...

Just had mine re-aligned yesterday. When it was originally done they didn't have it in alignment mode (Quadra-Lift only) and the toe was off considerably. Word to the wise insure they know to put it in Alignment Mode (in settings in the U Connect) AND just as importantly make sure they are pulling up the correct vehicle WITH the air suspension (correct year too!)

AnyHow... as he was going through the procedure a screen came up on the Hunter machine addressing adjusting the steering wheel. I assume this is where tie rod ends are adjusted??? However when he was finished he used a scan tool (plugged into the connector under the dash) to electronically adjust center. I am assuming fine adjustment??? He even mentioned most techs do not have the tool so they don't do it. BTW this was at a Merchant's Tire not the dealer.

One last tidbit... evidently there is no fine alignment done at the factory. Not sure if the dealerships are suppose to check and correct as part of the dealer prep for sale or not. Tech said he does numerous alignments to brand new vehicles of all types, finding them considerably out. May explain some of the difference in tire wear between drivers???

Re: 2015 WK2 Crooked Steering Wheel

What he used was Hunter's "Code Link" to reset the steering angle sensor. You can have proper alignment, but can result in an off center steering wheel if the steering angle sensor isn't reset to zero......or the tech didn't take the time to adjust it to center physically. Be fortunate you found a tech that actually cares about you as a customer.

I had this problem.. Took it in to get fixed, but the problem wasn't solved. Had to drive the car around because of work. Anyone know the mileage cut off to get this covered under warranty?

They did a full alignment and its still off? Take it back, there is a TSB for it.

Re: 2015 WK2 Crooked Steering Wheel

Mine had that issue. 2014 JGC summit 14k. I took it in for an alignment twice, and it's better than it was before almost perfect

The issue I am having is the torque steer, leaving the light it always kicks to the right
