5.7 overland Trans noise

I have a 2011 5.7 overland I toticed yesterday while trying to recreate a thump I get in the rear of my car that is like you stepped on the gas in n and put it into drive.i noticed with the e brake on going from drive to n there is a hell of a clunk and the car shakes.i also found when up shifting manually from 2 to 3 there is quite a large clunk. Has anyone had simalar problems it does not seem normal.

Doesn't sound normal to me.

What was the status of your car? Was it warmed up, just started, etc?

It could be incorrect fluid level or something else.

If you can recreate it, take it to a dealer and show them so it's documented and they at least attempt to resolve it.

Re: 5.7 overland Trans noise

It was warm my wife drove it home from work about 20 minute ride.i also noticed if I switch to sport mode before moving the car out of park the noise I have in my front end is reduced by at least 1/2 I wonder if the 2 are related.

HI There,
There is a TSB that sounds like it might assist you. Ask your service guy about TSB 21-010-12 came out mid July. Good luck.
