So I had TSB 18-035-11 flashed on my GC today. The shifts seem really smooth and overall the car just feels much more responsive and faster now.
Can someone with the 5.7 that has not had this flash done confirm something for me ? Now when I'm on the highway cruising at around 75MPH and I click the shifter one click to the left (downshift) a "5" shows up on my dash. I could swear that it used to say "6" when I did this at highway speeds in the past. I get an immediate downshift with an increase in RPMs on the first click to the left and a "5" is displayed. I just could swear that it use to show a "6".
Either way it's a little confusing, if this is a five speed with two different 2nd gears I would expect the first downshift to read "4" (going from 5th to 4th) so both old and new programming seem a little misleading. But, I could also swear that I'm actually getting six distinct useable gears rather than just different 2nd's for upshifts and downshifts. At 62MPH I'm getting 1,600RPMs in "D", and 2,000 in "5".
