While attempting to duplicate the famous rear "clunk", I accidentally uncovered a new grinding noise. It happens when swerving from right to left to right to left at about 10 MPH. Appears to be coming from directly behind the steering wheel in the firewall or under the hood.
Car is still with dealer for many other issues and they called back regarding this one problem and said "This is normal and is expected if you wish to drive your Jeep this way". I then asked " Do all Jeeps do this?" and they said "Yes". Wow - really Jeep?
Obviously I'm not driving around town swerving around everywhere but who cares? And what if I did want to drive swerving around everywhere? Or what if I am off-roading and low speeds and need to swerve around rocks, etc?
This noise shouldn't be there and is obviously indicative of something wrong with my jeep or the design in general.
Sound clip attached. Can someone please try to see if your 2014 Wk does this? If it's normal, fine. But shit that's an awful sound for a brand new Jeep to make.
