72% oil life after oil change

Hi guys, I own a 2014 GC and just got my oil changed at local jeep dealer today. After that I found the oil life is only 72%, and it's only 1 mile since reset. Pic is attached. Can anybody tell me why? Is it possible to be a bug of the software or just the oil they used is low quality?
I was intend to use my own mobile 1 but the dealer said the oil they use is the same quality and is free since Chrysler offered me a free oil change.
Many thanks!ImageUploadedByJeepGarage1442445673.848638.jpg

Re: 72% oil life after oil change

Quality of the engine oil has no effect on the oil life monitoring system.
The system calculates oil life on factors like miles driven, engine run time, fuel burn, etc. Perhaps your dealer forgot to reset your system after the oil change or the system will take a couple miles of driving to balance out based on your driving habits.
Hope this is helpful.

The dealer reset it and if you see the picture you can find it is 1 mile since reset. I will give it couple more miles and check tomorrow. Thank you anyway.

I had the same issue. Had to take it back and show them. They were not aware of this one as they reset some other counter.

You can try yourself but this might only do the oil warning light ???

Thanks for updating! Hopefully the system will work as it should now. It's good to know how something turned out when people post questions on forums.
