930 miles and Check Engine Light

I have less than a thousand miles on my 2014 overland with the hemi and the check engine light came on. Of course after 5 oclock on Friday,

Any one know if the auto part store DTC reader will scan a 2014?
Or another way to check it?

Ive flipped through the engine info and everything is good and nothing obvious is happening. And other than the dealer gas its only run 93 octane.

Why are you running 93? The hemi is supposed to run 89.

I run 93 octane in all my vehicles. 89 is recommended as a minimum of detonation prevention. Extra octane will not hurt it, just adds more margin of safety. and is a cleaner tank in most stations than 89

Not really. The minimum is 87 and 89 recommended so running anything higher is a waste and could actually hurt performance because the engine controls are tuned for 89 not 93.

Thats almost word for word from the manufacturer, If its good enough for Jeep engineers it's good enough for me. I ran 89 in my 2005 and i am running 89 in my 2014.
