Re: A/C issue in 2011 WK2 Laredo X
I've been through this a few weeks ago. Culprit was a broken actuator gear/stop on the passenger side temperature blend door. Discovered this when the ladyfriend complained there was no cool airflow coming from the vents. Not saying your passenger blend door will be the issue, but I'll bet money on a broken actuator gear for either the mode door, or temp blend doors.
What happens is when the temp actuators sweep to adjust to the desired temp, if the gear is broken, they either travel too much or not enough. The Hvac module detects the travel is out of range and basically reboots itself.
If it is a broken gear, they retail for appx $5. I haven't had to repair one for the drivers side temp blend door, but the one for the passenger side is very easy to do as long as you have a T20 torx bit and a short handle 1/4drive ratchet.
Best thing to do is set the temp to 70 and let the AC run in auto mode for a bit and observe if there is a noticeable difference in the output air temperature from the left and right dash vents. This will point you in the direction of wether it's a blend door or not. If you switch modes (floor, defrost, face...etc, and the position of air output doesn't change, that will reveal it's a mode door/mode door actuator issue. I will not rule out the recirculate door actuator either, but from what I've seen, they haven't given as many issues as of recently.
