Re: A/C Problem
So a little update here. After waiting for 45 minutes for the service advisor to put gas in my GC, he brought it up so I could leave. I opened the door and there were grease marks all over my interior.....my light beige interior. It literally looked like the tech rolled around in grease and then decided to drive my vehicle, touching anything and everything he could get his filthy hands on. And the exterior wasn’t much better. I had it detailed a few days before taking it to the dealer and now it had greasy hand prints, etc. all over the interior and some on the exterior, too. Needless to say I was pretty agitated at this point. I pointed it out to the service advisor, who then explained that he could take it back to the details shop if I had a few minutes to get it taken care of. I was already almost an hour late to work at that point, so I told him I’d just bring it back. Threw my shit in the passenger front seat, got in, and attempted to drive away. I turned out of the parking lot onto the service road and my traction light came on immediately. I kept driving trying to see if it would go off, trying to figure out what it could be. Got just past the stop light when I realized my steering wheel was off center. We’re not talking off center just a little….we’re talking off center between 2:00 & 3:00! WTF!!! At that point, I ****ing lost it! I was so pissed off I put the pedal to the floor and hauled ass back to the dealer. I called my wife on the way to let her know what was going on and threw f-bombs out left and right which probably didn’t make her too happy.
So I get back to the dealership and my advisor comes over to see what’s going on. I explain about the traction light and the steering wheel and tell him straight up that I’m pissed and want to talk to the service manager. So the service manager comes over and I explain the situation and they agree to put me in a loaner vehicle since I’m now without transportation for the day. I then ask to speak to him in his office. So we go to his office and I put everything on the table at that point. I explain about the horrible customer service I got from my advisor, I explain how pissed off I am about the condition of my vehicle when I pick it up and that they should have much better quality control measures in place. I explain about the 45 minute wait to get fuel in my GC, to which he says he was hesitant to let the advisor put fuel in it because they don’t provide for loaner vehicles. I told him I thought they provided them if the vehicle had to be there more than 24 hours and he said Chrysler doesn’t operate that way (disappointing). He did say, though, that he felt better about putting gas in mine for me after hearing the situation went the way it did. He also said he’d take care of the communication problem and that they’d make my GC right again. I told him it better look brand new when I pick it up, so we’ll see how it goes. At that point, Enterprise was there to pick me up. Then it took me another 45 minutes or so to get a car. Come to find out, though, those guys don’t like my advisor, or the dealership, either. GO figure.
Got a call late yesterday evening (5:45-6:00) from the advisor saying that they had to order a clock spring and it would be there this morning. They were supposed to have done that Saturday when he called, but instead, they just tightened the connector that supposedly wasn’t connected completely. So after all that, I’m still without my GC and currently driving a crappy Dodge Avenger, although I could’ve had a Challenger if not for my kid’s big ass Recaro car seat.
Guess I’ll update again when I pick it up…..or at least attempt to….
