First time I thought I hit the button accidentally. This time I KNOW that I did not. Here is the deal: HVAC is in manual mode set to 70*f. When I push the button for recirculate, the A/C comes on. The light on the button illuminates too. It is 15*f outside and I don't need cooling!
Never noticed this until lately, does anyone elses work this way? '11 WK2 OL
I can understand Auto, but this is Manual mode. Also, I understand the need at certain times to use cooling to condense the humidity but this is not in defrost (where you would need dehumidification). Never have fogging problems, now I turn the a/c off manually when I hit recirculate. I guess that is what by manual mode
Honestly, that was a pretty dumb move to have them linked. Complete waste of fuel. Oh well, if they all do it I suppose that is the way it should be according to Chrysler. I will just keep turning it off. Not a huge deal because I never used it with heat before it got to the single digits. Which is rare here.
