AC Default settings

Every time I start the jeep the ac or heat has the defrost setting selected.
Is there a way to change it?

Re: AC Default settings

Do you physically shut the HVAC system off or do you leave it in whatever mode you were using when you shut the vehicle off? It could be remembering that.

Next time, try turning the HVAC off completely before shutting the vehicle down.

I have actually tried both and it always defaults back to defrost.

Re: AC Default settings

I'm thinking that you've enabled the comfort setting in the unconnect controls. That uses outside temp to determine starting mode for ac.

Re: AC Default settings

What's crazy on mine is, in auto it blasts you with air conditioned air ,winter or summer for about a minute after you start it. No matter where the controls are set other than off.. and yes I have had all the HVAC flashes. Dealer has never been able to figure out why. Wife hates it..... Not great in the winter!

The comfort setting in uconnect only applies to the heated/ventilated driver seat and heated steering wheel.

It would help if we knew more about your Jeep...year/trim, auto or manual HVAC.
