ACC/FCW not working

Took my brand spanking new 2014 Overland ecoDiesel to the dealer because the adaptive cruise would not work. Turns out the protective cover was not on correctly. Service manager said he has seen more than a few with this problem. Factory quality control.

Works great now.

Interesting - where is it?
I've been getting a service air suspension message which leaves the ACC/FCW unavailable, but it keeps fixing itself. I guarantee it will all work fine when I drop it in to service next week!

Re: ACC/FCW not working

I've been fighting this intermittent problem for a couple of months now. It was very irritating on the 6000 mile trip I recently took, but it always corrected itself within about five minutes. The dealer has been unable to find anything wrong, but admits there is a problem based upon what I've told him.

It is the round lens below the bumper.

On my trip, I was getting differing messages. Most of the time, it said that the sensor needed to be cleaned (even right after it was cleaned), but a couple of times it said that the system needed service, but it didn't throw any codes. One time, after I had stopped at a rest stop and cleaned all the sensors, it was working as I backed out of the space, but went off when I put it into drive.

Again, in each instance, it started working again within five minutes and then would seem to work for several hundred miles before doing it again.

Re: ACC/FCW not working

You could have a different issue. See it the cover just needs to be pushes in a little. If not you need to take it to the dealer.

We may be cross posting. I'm not sure to whom you are replying. If to me, the cover is tight and positioned properly. It has been to the dealer twice now.
