Hey so my cousin has a Laredo 2013 we tried to install a hid kit from DDM tuning that he purchased on his truck all went fine but got the flicker and the lights eventually went out. Where can I get the error eliminator that is needed to correct this problem?
The harness listed on amazon use a single non-sealed relay and fuse to control both the ballasts. If a fuse, ore relay should happen to go out (more than likely from moisture), both your headlights will go out.
Our HID Kit harnesses come as 2 independent relay harnesses - 1 per side. Each side gets it's own SEALED fuse, and relay. If something fails, only one side will be effected.
Not had issues in several different cars with the relay from Amazon.
As far as the relays go, they are dirt cheap at most auto shops (< $5).
Carry a spare if you think the relay will go out so easily but highly unlikely, I bet it will outlast most of the electronics in the car.
Again, cars from the last 30+ years have had exposed relays under the hood and has never been an issue.
I'm new to this site, extremely confused how this works, but I have 99 Laredo, got oil changed and oil pressure gage started fluctuating @ idle, was told sending unit was bad, replaced it and continued to fluctuate, so took it back to different place they worked on it and after I left the pressure gauge is now at 0 and NOT fluctuating, wtf?
More likely then you think - I'm only speaking as a vendor that actually sells the product. There is a reason that we take the extremes that we do to try and keep everything water tight.
I'm not trying to harp on you, or the product that you are suggesting. I'm simply pointing out some of the differences.
Steve
