Air suspension problem

Got home tonight and air is hissing under my 2011 Grand Cherokee Overland, suspension seems fine, is this going to drain my battery by morning?

Re: Air suspension problem

I don't think the battery will drain since once the system leaks down, the pump should no longer attempt to level the vehicle.

Can you tell where the leak is located. Is it possibly a punctured tire?

In any case good luck resolving your issue.

Re: Air suspension problem

id check all the tires first spray them down with soapy water and if there is a leak you will def see it especially if you can hear it when outside of the truck. it may sound like it is coming from the suspension because it could be coming from the inside wall of the tire. Good Luck

Re: Air suspension problem

It was definitely the suspension air compressor being filled, so I let the air run for 2 hours and decided I was going to have a dead battery so I started trying to remove fuses to see if I could get it to stop, which it didn’t. Ended up removing the battery cable and killing power to the vehicle, I re attached everything and I haven’t had the problem happen again. The suspension seems to work fine, raises and lowers without problems and no air rushing out under the car.

Now I don’t know if it’s related but the dealership has ordered a Power Module which I was told is being re manufactured by Chrysler and I should have one in a week or 2, this is for an unrelated problem with starting.

Re: Air suspension problem

I have a 2014 and my air suspension system lowers when I turn off the vehicle, even if its been 5 minutes. Some times it will raise right after we start it then other times a few minutes later. Can someone tell me what is the normal operation of this system and how do I know its functioning normal / properly.
