Air suspension (QL) softness question

So, I thought I'd get some feedback before declaring a problem. Now that I have almost 10,000 miles on my 2014 Overland (5.7 4x4 with ORAII) I have noticed that the suspension seems to be getting a bit...softer. This isn't a ride height issue -- it is more that it seems to be a bit more "floaty" than it seemed to be at first. It might be that I went a few weeks without driving it and was driving a different vehicle but...

For example, if I go over a large steep speed bump (parking lot, etc) the front end seems to sink (dive) on the other side and bounce a bit (a couple of times) and sometimes gives a soft "thunk" (hard to describe) and at high speed it seems to "float" a bit more now. There's also more front end rise/dive during acceleration and braking. I also tested it a bit and if I creep forward at 2-3 mph then hit the brakes hard it dives quite a bit then bounces around in the front end a couple of times.

So, before I go digging further, could anyone else with the QL air suspension and probably the 5.7 (because of the added weight difference vs the 3.6) let me know what they think or if theirs does similar? As I said I was driving a different vehicle for a while so I might be "feeling" it more than I would otherwise. Much appreciated for any input...

Check your tire pressures. Otherwise this would be more of symptom of a problem/annoyance with the dampeners being too soft for your liking or that one or more of the dampeners has failed. The dealerships discovering a leaking dampener or two during routine service and replacing them is not unheard of around these parts.

Well...I think it would be hard to tell if the front shocks were leaking as they are embedded inside the air spring assembly on QL vehicles...

Re: Air suspension (QL) softness question

Mine tends to dive more then I'd like if I hit the brakes at low speed and does has some rebound going over speed bumps. However, I don't really feel like I am floating on the highway and if I hit a decent bump I find the rebound to be pretty controlled and quick. I always viewed it as the price for a heavy SUV meant for ride comfort.

I don't view there as being anything wrong with my vehicle, but if yours feel like it might actually be bottoming out on speed bumps that could be an issue. Does one side or front/rear seem to be the culprit? Have you tried to the good old push test on each side to see if one side seems to have more play than the other? If you did have a blown shock I'd be surprised if both were bad, unless the QL manages to mask a bad strut.
