Maybe you should just sell it or trade it in or maybe you just like being unhappy. Ford issued a recall last week for this same part from the same supplier. If I was as unhappy as you claim to be the vehicle would be long gone.

Re: Airbag Recall

Do you guys know if this is related to the ORC module failures reported here or is this something else. Really don't want to go through this process again ...

ORC Module Shortage

ORC Module Shortage

That's what it says in the link in the original post. Third sentence.

Re: Airbag Recall

Just recently had mine replaced. What pisses me off is my dealer flat out lied and said the vehicle was still safe to drive even with all the errors and the recall states it can disable those safety features it's throwing errors for. Another nail in the coffin for my local dealer for putting my family at risk with their bs.

I know that the article mentions ORC module but I'm wondering if this is the same issue that we've experienced or is this something else.

In other words I'm wondering is if the module that they put in my Jeep back in June still has this issue or is this the same issue and I'm good. Just trying to figure out if I will need to replace OCR module for the 2nd time.

What a PITA. Lost count of those recalls. Did one or two, two are sitting on my desk (brake booster and vanity wire) and now this. Apparently there is one more in the works (voluntary recall) for axles. Did I count 6? Will not even mention numerous trips to the dealer to Vehicle Phone Requires Service issue and transmission flashes.

At 14K and 1.5years I would argue that I just broke in the engine ... ;-)

1) its a lease.. how do you sell a lease? .. and cant trade it in yet, only been a year or so.
2) how am i supposed to sell a piece of junk? "Why are you selling it?" ..."Well its constantly in the shop, and I hate it?"

I guess probably deep down I keep hoping.. this is the last repair... but nope. It never is
