So just take it to your nearest Jeep dealer and have them flash it per the TSB that has been out for months and you will be all set.

Re: Alarm goes off randomly

Hi,

Just happened to me yesterday in my driveway.

I have security cams and nothing drove by or touched it when it went off. I did have the sunroof on venting.

It was the first time since I got it 2 1/2 months ago.

Re: Alarm goes off randomly

Mine went off the other day. But I THINK I bumped the panic button cause I was carrying my kids child seat and it probably bumped it on my pocket.

MY QUESTION is: I couldn't get it to turn off hitting unlock. I hit the panic button to turn it off. Does this confirm that it WAS the panic button causing it to go off? Or does the alarm turn off with the panic button too?

Re: Alarm goes off randomly

Okay guy I really need help, my alarm goes off alot at night some times it dosnt take long for it to go off and sometimes it take 8hours, so after finding out it says my glass window is open I shut it hard and still came on, so I ended up taking the sensor out that tells it that it's open, light went out, so thought it was the sensor. But lastnight the alarm went off again with it unplugged. So thinking a short some place, and have no idea where to go. I have the rear door panel off right now looking and wiggling wires, I don't know where the wires go. I would just take it to the dealer but they are closed and I am off to school on Monday and will be gone for 2 months, I need help to see what's going on, thanks guys

Re: Alarm goes off randomly

Okay guys so was looking into my self, I'm sure most of u have this problem, not just me, okay so I did what I said above. I took apart the sensor for the rear window and light stayed on that why I thought short cause it a 2 wire sensor, so what I did was took off the hatch sensor and light went out. Every time I wiggled it the light would go off and on, took plug off and found some green connections and it has to be on the hatch sensor shortingout inside because of a little green, FYI green is bad! Lol, so I hope I can help maybe..... I have a 07 srt8 jeep. Thanks

Re: Alarm goes off randomly

Not sure I'd be effin' around with all the electonics if I were you. Did you bring it in to the dealer for the TSB for this issue? Once I had the flash done, I never had an issue with this after. Just sayin'....

Re: Alarm goes off randomly

Well I thought I shouldn't mess with it too, but I know with doing that its not going to hurt anything, trust me on that one, and I needed to do something with it since I don't have time to take it to the dealer, it will be all good for now till I get a sensor and talk to the dealer

Re: Alarm goes off randomly

Good morning all. Im new to the jeepgarage; Acutally just an occaional creeper here. Finally pulled the trigger last month on a WK2 Overland. Wan on my way to work yesterday and the UConnect went out and rebooted twice back to back, then operated normally. Got on duty, locked from the FOB, went it the station, then my alarm started going off. unlocked, then locked twice and the alarm went off again. This morning the same thing happen. I was reading this thead yesterday and noted the relation to the liftgate. Opened, then closed using the FOB and the issue seems to have resolved for now. Just wanted to check with y'all and see If anyone has continued to have issues or if anyone has actually found the repair. Thank you in advance for any advice.

Re: Alarm goes off randomly

I had a similar problem in which my alarm would continue to go off and the doors would not lock. I tried locking it without the key fob using the button on the inside door, outside button and uconnect app. Still no joy. I took it to the dealer to have it checked and they pulled some codes that said my hood had been tampered with. They had to replace the module and reprogram both keys to the vehicle. Hasnt happened since. When i get home, I can look at the paperwork and tell you exactly what they fixed.
