Alarm going off for no apparent reason

I have 2014 JGC Overland, built May 2013.
A couple of weeks ago, the alarm triggered for no apparent reason. It was a fair way away, so the alarm had reset by the time I got there. But since then, it has been sounding more and more often until it is now several times a day.
Has anyone had a similar problem, and have any suggestions as to causes?
Thanks,
Russell

Hood sensor - by the latching mechanism. It happened a few times last winter and once while it was at the dealership. They had to replace it because it was driving them nuts, while fixing my car for other issues.

+1... Almost certainly the hood switch. Take a look at it and make sure it hasn't been knocked out of position, damaged, etc

Re: Alarm going off for no apparent reason

Thanks guys. I'm taking it to the dealers today so I'll point them in that direction. Can't see anything obviously wrong with it myself.
