Haha. Maybe start a kickstarter campaign for "SW03ES Jeep Kicked Out Fund."

The Jeep is undoubtedly the nicest vehicle in the group, downside being my prior experience and the lack of the third row.

I think price wise the Jeep will be your best bet. I got my 2014 for $6K under sticker so you know there is plenty of wiggle room. Personally, I would stay away from it based on your previous experience. If the brand is known to have issues, which in our case it is, and if you have experienced them beforehand then try another brand. If I were in your shoes I would look for an Audi avant if you need the space. If you need the extra seats on the other hand then an SUV or crossover would do the trick. I hope everything works out.

There is a big hole in the roof. Instead of replacing the panel, the factory stuck two pieces of glass in the hole. What really pissed me off is the deception on Jeep's part. To try to hide the blunder they covered it on the inside with some cloth.

The tires do really suck for on/off road tires.

And it really should raise (or at least not lower) when you switch to sand mode.

Maybe I should hire a big law firm, but then I won't be able to discuss this any more.
Lol thanks for good laugh

But can you understand my desire to have a vehicle that I am not worried about breaking down? Can you understand my concerns with this Jeep leaving warranty?

Still have a couple issues. Theres a rattle in the passenger dash coming from the glovebox door handle, and a rattle in the steering column although I believe theres a TSB for that. The rattles to me aren't a big deal, its the component failures that are a problem. Theres an intermittent issue with the volume freezing on the radio, where it can't be adjusted up or down. HU was replaced to deal with that but its happened a couple times since then.

Had to have the wheels balanced, but thats a wear item. Tires will need to be replaced before winter, which also isn't anything to do with the Jeep but having to drop $1,000 on tires adds to the decision that needs to be made.
Stock tires new are only $484 total. http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....um=65TR0FORTHL $1,000????? LOL

Maybe not lol... Its still $600 after mounting. And if he decided to keep it, he probably wouldn't choose those tires. Good tires (highest surveyed in this size) are $198 each. So $1000 after shipping and mounting is probably spot on actually.

Re: And so it continues...

good point amc2002. I'm thinking about the Hankook Ventus ST RH06 tires and they're over $800 at Sears, but I found them online for $549. Don't know why I've already read up on tires when I only have 21k miles and won't need tires for at least 2 years, maybe 3 years.

First off, mine is a Laredo X, it came with the 18" Michelin Lattitudes, they are $880 before shipping, moutning & Balancing for the OEM tires:

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....%20X%20Package

I wouldn't buy the stock tires, I'd get LTX M/S's for it if I was going to keep it. They're $916 just for the tires, before shipping, mounting and balancing:
