Cheers.

You have completely missed my point. Why would I try to have the thread closed? Its not my thread. I was not trying to say someone should not give their opinion. I am just saying if you are keeping vehicle wouldn't you want to try to enjoy it? I was not saying anyone was bitter or angry or anything like that. I am also in favor of keeping the video it is very funny.

Where did you read that he wasn't enjoying his vehicle?

It would always be in the back of my mind as long as I owned the vehicle. I find myself deciding which vehicle to take on a trip, etc because of reliability and I haven't been through what he's been through.

If you think the thread has run its course, stop reading it and stop posting in it.

Have you read that he is enjoying his vehicle? In fact it would be good for him to reply and let up know if he is enjoying his vehicle or not.

Re: And so it continues...

Maybe the post should be closed, and this is my opinion. One of mine was recently closed by the moderator.
I have not experienced anything like he has, but I have thought twice about driving my 40K + GC on weekend trips because of reliability. Each morning I wonder what else is going to show up or weather the ac or Uconnect is going to act up.
But I love the vehicle. I know the lurking issues will be addressed. Today I hand washed and detailed my GC, sat back in the garage and admired it. I really love it but tomorrow I'm going to take the family for a two day trip and am driving the MB. Can't trust it right now until some updates are done the AC. It's bad to feel this way but I hope soon the issues will be worked out.

For the most part I am enjoying my vehicle. I am pretty sure I have said that in other posts, too.

Am I dwelling on past issues? I don't think I am too much, but I will say it is hard to completely move past everything, when there are still smaller things constantly going wrong.

Thumbs up Re: And so it continues...

To follow up, I ordered a new WK2 on Friday, as soon as it's delivered Chrysler will be taking my current headache away.

Getting Chrysler to agree to a buyback was a herculean task, requiring 60 hrs. on the phone and 4 days off work. My wife and I like the JGC so much we were willing to go though the heartache and effort to get another one. As many others in this forum can relate, my current vehicle spent 37 days in service the first 90 days of ownership...the remaining days were arguably spent in my favorite car I have ever purchased.

As discussed in other threads, the corporate customer service is worse than the quality control on the early builds. as a first time jeep customer I can't believe the way Chrysler treats customers who have legitimate problem vehicles. I need to add dealer service is barely any better, even Friday while placing the order the sales manager acted like he was doing me a favor and exhibited poor customer service.

I'm happy to report the long journey down buyback/replacement road seems to be drawing to a close, here's to hoping WK2 #2 is problem free.

To those who seem upset that a few of us have the audacity to report our problems on this forum, please keep in mind that most of us have gotten replacement Chrysler products, a testament to our liking the brand, even considering the customer service that leave you shaking your head wondering why you keep coming back for more.

We kind of feel the same way. Getting Chrysler to even acknowledge us was impossible without a lawyer involved. We loved the car once it was fixed, but now it's having little glitches with the transmission (we did not bother to do the TSB flash since it's going in), and our mileage, even with regular gas, has now dropped to 11mpg for some reason. I will be glad when it's gone, but my wife has a little more tolerance than I do -- she would still like to keep it.

My turn in day was SUPPOSED to be Thursday, but when I called the guy at the dealer who is supposed to help me turn it in, he was just downright nasty to me on the phone. Said he knows who I am, and he's not doing anything until he gets the paperwork. I said ISG told me it would be there Thursday. Thursday is my day off, and I'm not coming in for this -- I will call YOU when *I* get the paperwork, and he said nothing's happening until then.

Fine. Be a tool. I'm so sick of Chrysler and Jeep dealers at this point, that was kind of the last straw. I can't wait for this all to be done.

And make no mistake, I still LOVE my Wrangler. It is the MOST reliable older car I have ever owned. Every day I get in it, it gives me a big smile and I just love driving it.

That said, I never had to deal with Chrysler customer service about it, and for that, I am grateful.

I sincerely hope Jeep can get back to making vehicles of the quality I see in my 2002.
