Front wheel arch lining wasn't fastened in at factory

All this and with only 1500km on the clock
I have previously owned 3 fords and collectively none of them have been as disappointing as the SRT. Especially when we pay $90k
I would not recommend a Jeep to anyone I considered a friend!!
What was your build date? My 2014 Limited was built in July, 5000 miles and no problems.

I would be interested in hearing more about build dates, I think there was some major improvements but it would be nice to know if they have fixed things.

My Overland was built July 15 and so far it has been trouble free. But it only has 1,500 miles. Al

bought it in july, currently about 1500 miles.
I don't consider myself a Jeep basher.
Just disappointed that after waiting almost three months for the car of my dreams to have it lose all the coolant and potentially damage a very expensive engine in the first week.
I have owned several new cars in the recent past and the build quality of this one has me concerned.
I love driving this car, the styling in an out is top notch, I just hope the quality and reliability match the design.!

Built 21/6

I love Jeep, I live Jeep, I bleed Jeep; I hate the Chrysler execs for making me feel the way I do. I come from a Jeep family- everyone owns Jeep vehicles, and has for three generations. I've even been restoring Grand Wagoneers for about seven years now.

Appropriately, this 2014 is Jeep #13 for me. I'm one of two in my family now going thru this 2014 nonsense. Given where I live, the fact that my local Chrysler rep lives in my town along with a few other corporate employees, and based on suggestions I've fielded from "other representatives", my present proposed remedy (the one everyone here is flipping their shit over) WILL actually produce appropriate resolution in little time.

In any case, I continue to be locked out of threads by this site's admin, so hopefully my request to have my account closed will come soon.

Are you going to keep posting this stuff until your account is closed? I think if you stop posting all this garbage the problem will go away on its own.

PhayAssWJ,

After speaking with a few other members I really think someone just needs to come out and say that I don't think anyone here really disagrees with your position and it is super $h1ty that you need to deal with all of this stuff.

The problem is that we are unable to do much about it from our positions other than be aware that your dealer doesn't sound like they have been the easiest to deal with. There are some people here who are overcoming their own challenges and I am not sure if you read through all the posts in this thread but I understand why one of the guys in this conversation went and got another Brand vehicle.

I think if you took a less aggressive stance on this in the Forum, there would be more people willing help out and sympathize.

We are the guys at the coffee shop down the street, we feel for your pain but if you keep running booth to both showing bumper stickers and how you are going to get back at Chrysler, trust me the guys and girls in the other booths can hear the conversation. The more you do this the less we can relate to you.

So why not start another thread, from scratch, leave out the other crap and list out your issues so that we can talk about them in your thread. I will participate in that, but it can't be all about bashing specific people at Chrysler. As usually your dealer is likely a huge piece of this puzzle and they can press to get assistance, but if you are talking to them the way you talk to us, I would have a hard time finding the energy myself!

No offense man, I seen your lists, i get it.... Can we just start this off again in a better 2 way conversation that others can join in because they choose too?

Been reading some of your posts. Judging by your build date, yours must have been one of the first 2014s off the line. If there are that many problems with it, can't you use your state's "Lemon" law? In any event, I agree with Willx, posting trash in this forum will get you absolutely nowhere. For every beratement you post, there are 500 accolades from happy Jeep owners.

I sincerely hope you are successful in getting your issue resolved.

Overland with September 9-10 build date. Only problem is UConnect keeps asking to insert SD card when it's already there. Well...and two paint flaws.

Re: And so it continues...

@Amc those guys are terrible that's why I will never deal with them again and I cant believe you are still going through this bs.

for all the people are posting about how good there jeep is now and how they haven't had one problem in order to in a sense dis credit or make the problems others are having to seem minimal you are doing the same thing Chrysler is doing. This is a problems section of the forum this is why it is there, as scott said they have made 200k plus of these trucks of course you are going to get a few bad ones. The fact is Chrysler has terrible customer service, most of there employees (ive shopped in both ny and nj at almost every dealer as well as serviced in both) are TERRIBLE. service people don't know anything and play stupid for when you have a problem and the sales teams think its your honor to buy from them.

bad buying experience + bad service= customer never coming back

and for all you guys who will say I don't know what im talking about I come from a group of friends who own dealerships and of course I couldn't have a friend who owns a Chrysler or jeep lol.

I fail to see the part that's garbage, but thank you, and I appreciate your standpoint on the matter.

As for getting my account closed, I've ASKED for it to be closed. I don't understand why the reaction, it's not like I'm threatening bodily harm on someone.

In any case, if my actions seem brash, realize, I've been getting dicked around by this auto maker for a long time now on this vehicle, it has gotten personal- this is just the point I've been pushed to.

Folks are taking my problems quite personally, to the degree I am convinced Chrysler LLC is involved a great deal more than meets the eye (queue Transformers segway theme song).

Why am I reacting this way? They shouldn't be selling these (even as the new Cherokees are still on hold) until all the demons are adequately worked out, lest they continue to defame themselves. Man-made or not, these men chose to let others buy these inferior vehicles. There is NO WAY someone wasn't aware of things like, say for example, the wheel arch moldings that fall off- the SRT WK2 has had this problem since the beginning!

Fix it (buy back the duds), get it right, and don't penalize "early adopters" for your mistakes.
