Nah. Don't need the bling, and at least with the Terrain it is lots of chrome stuff. Going with the SLT-2 with the 4-cyl.

After months of BS marosenb & amc got together and built their own car together, determined it was the only way to finally be happy.

They look very happy to me.

I would have said maybe a Ford Edge is the good compromise between the GC and the Terrain, but nobody mentioned it interestingly enough. Not Ford fans here?

To each his/her own, but IMHO a Highlander isn't really in the same class in ride comfort and luxury as the Terrain and definitely not the GC! I'm a Honda fanboy and I'm perfectly fine in admitting I hate how loud they are. The Pilot is nowhere close to as comfortable as the GC!

I like the Edge, but I think i'ts more in the realm of the "old crossovers" that really don't give you any more space inside than your standard station wagon, despite being so big on the outside. With the seats up, it has less than a cubic foot more luggage space than the Terrain. Also, the only engine choice I'd be interested in (the 2.0L EcoBoost) doesn't come in AWD from what I can tell.

Wonder when Ford is going to redesign that one?

And we did check out the Pilot. After the Acura and the GC, that would be taking a step *too* far down on the luxury list I think. It seemed VERY large for us too. I'm not really a Toyota fan either.
