I'm a big Mazda fan overall, and love most of the new styling, but just not on the CX-9. Actually, styling is something I'd have to get over as well on the new Escape. I know some think the Acadia and Terrain are bathtubs/barges and whatever other insult you can throw at them, but I happen to love that kind of big, bold styling. I don't like a lot of air lines and creases and scrunched-face front-ends.

I am kinda updating two threads on the same topic... hopefully I am not annoying people.

Still no Jeep. Turns out more electronics were fried, so they had to order and replace more stuff. Like and ICM, whatever that does. Now they are waiting to get in a new Radio.

If they follow the Dodge world(which I bet they do with CANBUS and all) it will probably be the Interior Control Module....essentially all things electronic on the interior connected to the wiring harness

You must feel sickened. It's deja vu all over again.

Chrysler contacted my lawyer and renegotiated the numbers (probably because my lawyer hadn't talked to them yet about his fee). I'm not getting my payments back, just my deposit. I'm fine with that. I'm just ready for this whole saga to be over with and hope my next non-Chrysler vehicle is trouble-free.

AMC2002- Did you think about looking for a leftover 2013 JGC? Same vehicle, just slightly different styling and simpler electronics that are more reliable than the 2014 ones. Anyway you decide to go, I hope you get a trouble-free vehicle this time around.

This occured to me yesterday too as I was cruising in a 2013 V6. Peppy for a V6 and drove really nice (nicer than my Durango). It was a Limited, with no extra options but I liked it.

There could be some deals to be had that might offset the little extra fuel???

Just found a $52k 2013 Summit V8 for $38.5k at Criswell. Crazy deals on the 2013s!!

Yep.

My wife is actually searching out the owner of the dealership to give him a piece or her mind.

Aslong as you are happy with the deal Chrysler is offering you, then I guess it is all good.

Not happy, compared to what the lawyer said I was getting at first, but whatever. It is fair. Will just be glad when it is all over.

As for leftovers, there weren't any Limiteds when I looked in April, doubt there are now. And the whole reason we said the GC might work was because of the new 8-speed, so we are looking to increase mileage now.

Wife said why don't we just look at wagons again so we are looking at the Jetta TDI Sportwagon this weekend.

Re: And so it continues...

Posted in another thread as well, but...

Update: My wife has had success in talking with the owner of the dealership. He says he will convince Chrysler to buy it back, and if that does not work, he will figure it out on his end, but either way, I am getting rid of my second 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee.

You cannot get a break. It's good that you will be getting rid of it, though. I assume that you are probably done with the brand now, or at least the 2014's. Personally I think the GC is a great vehicle, but if I got one, let alone TWO lemons, I would look elsewhere (other brands or the 2013 models). You have handled the whole ordeal very well, and I wish you luck in getting a trouble-free vehicle.
