Re: !$^@&W%&#*#@^!@^@&% jeep !@^$@^

wow, solid debate you guys got going on here, keep it coming haha. For the record everyone is right. I think some have just failed to completely read the other persons/people's posts and then go on their own tangent. Many of you have even repeated/agreed with each other without even knowing it haha so good stuff.

Again all good points, no one can rely on a car/truck or whatever to keep them alive in the wilderness (duhhhh)

And preparation is key in anything, keeps you alive, preps you for success etc etc.
These are all things we learn at a young age right so anyone who doesn't agree with this is well (being dumb) NOT DUMB, just acting dumb, they're different

The WIN should be fixed, sure its a module that was used with a purpose, things do happen, modules do fail, no one can rely on that to keep them alive otherwise if thats the case, they made a bad decision and hopefully will live to regret it.

Re: !$^@&W%&#*#@^!@^@&% jeep !@^$@^

Got the Jeep back and it's good as new.

I would like to take this time to say THANK GOD I GOT THE HEMI. After driving around in a 2010 V-6 4x4 dakota as a rental for a little over a week, I can now say that the hemi has more power in ECO mode than the dakota does...period. I could not wait to get out of the grossly underpowered vehicle. When I pulled out of the jeep dealership after dropping off the dakota, I hit the gas like I was in the dakota...and thought I was shot out of a cannon! For those of you unsure about hemi or V-6...GO HEMI!!

LOL!

In the fractured logic of my buddy from college (on the topic of fuel economy, many years ago):

"$#&@ it. Burn it today-- it's gonna cost more to burn it tomorrow!" <insert sound of beer can cracking open>

Um .. it wasn't the "power" you felt my good man, it was the TORQUE, which the Hemi has in abundance.

It's good to hear that they got your WIN module all squared away. As always, this forum is very informative. It will be very interesting to track how many others encounter this problem (hopefully not many.)

Gotta advocate for my 3.6 here. The V6 in the Dakota was not even close to the V6 in the 2011 JGC power wise, so I'm not sure your conclusion bears much weight. The WK2 is the first vehicle to recieve the 3.6 liter V6.

Re: !$^@&W%&#*#@^!@^@&% jeep !@^$@^

Well the torque did get me moving, the power is what keeps the vehicle at a steady speed, with little effort. The Dakota was lacking both, but always seemed to labor to keep a steady speed.

HP...how fast you hit the wall, TQ...how far you take the wall with you...

I'd also like to make the comment that a great deal of how a vehicle feels is via the trans, and the trans in the poor dakota....sucks. It shuttered a great deal and continually upshifted at the slightest hint of a headwind or hill. That would deal with the power more so than the TQ, though the TQ would play a small role in the equation.

While I agree with the Pentastar V-6 being a bit more powerful than the old Chrysler sourced V-6, it just does not compare to the hemi. I was actually looking for a V-6 when I bought the jeep as it is my wife's vehicle. I did a very lengthy test drive with the V-6 and found it to be a great deal better than the Chrysler sourced V-6. I was not dogging the V-6, just expressing my gratitude towards the Hemi, and being back into my own vehicle!

I agree the 2010 D was most likely the 3.7. Its 210 HP vs. the 3.6 290 (if I remeber right). I would NEVER buy a a car/SUV with the 3.7.
