Another backup camera ?

2012 overland w/ 730N.. anyway picture is most always dark and the diplay options do not help. I had a ford escape... perfect camera... lexus is 250 -- perfect camera... Just think for 43K(sticker) should have a decent picture in the JGK... is anone happy with the picture quality... is dark normal? just looking for others thoughts,,,, thanks!

Re: Another backup camera ?

The picture on my 430n is significantly better than the backup camera in my Audi. No issues.

Have you tried cleaning the lens?

Re: Another backup camera ?

My picture is quite bright. Even at night, when it's difficult to see, the camera picks up objects that could be missed by the normal eye. I've been impressed with the quality.

Re: Another backup camera ?

The B/U camera on mine gives a nice bright clear image. Maybe have your dealer service dept. compare yours to others on the lot?

Re: Another backup camera ?

In another thread, it was determined that the camera had a bad electronic-iris function. I believe the camera was replaced at the dealership and everything was good.

All of this is from memory, and I wasn't paying attention....

Re: Another backup camera ?

I'd say that it has to be a bad camera.
My camera picture is excellent. And at night its surprisingly bright.
