Had a viper in 97 that locked after 30 seconds. Passive arming has been around in MANY vehicles for years. As for not locking a car, I grew up in Brooklyn, simply not an option or in my genetics.

Either way even if it had that, you need to be able to set it and have that setting stay, which is doesn't and why I am on this topic. So, any help?
It is not a feature on the Grand Cherokee. The only auto locking it will do is if you unlock the vehicle with the fob and don't open the door within a certain amount of time.

Re: Another Uconnect Glitch?

In case anyone comes across this older thread with the same issue with check mark not staying in Auto On Comfort setting, just got my jeep back from dealership... they finally fixed problem with not being able to keep the seat / steering wheel heater setting selected in the AutoOn Comfort screen. While it was in for an oil change, they tried to fix it by doing all the open TSBs. According to the tech, it was a 'Hands Free Module' update that fixed the issue. He checked it after completing each update to see if it worked, and that was the one that did the trick! It seems to work fine now!

Re: Another Uconnect Glitch?

I had mine into the dealership last weekend to get the heated seats looked at. Tech said they did some sort of firmware update to the module (maybe the hands free module) and now it works perfectly. Can check and uncheck the auto comfort option now. Temperature seems to register properly at start up too. Before it seem to remember the temperature at the last engine shutoff, now it is registering the correct outside temperature at startup. Now I just need to get the "Service Phone" issue cleared up and my "fix list" is complete.

Re: Another Uconnect Glitch?

I had this problem of the auto comfort setting not holding. Yes the checkbox does not stay checked but it did keep the setting. Just don't know if its on or off till you try remote start.

The piece I was missing was that once you change the setting make sure you save those settings to the key fob. Once I did that step I had no more issues with my comfort off when I did a remote start.

Re: Another Uconnect Glitch?

Of course, after poking around, I found this TSB, which sounds pretty similar to the issue we have been having with Comfort Auto On settings:
