Another Uconnect Glitch?

I was adjusting the settings in the Uconnect system and noticed the settings would not stick. Every time I check an option it reverts back after a few seconds. It seems to be happening on the remote start comfort setting and the settings for forward crash mitigation.

Re: Another Uconnect Glitch?

Was your vehicle running when you were making those settings? I believe that might make a difference.

The engine was not running however, the ignition was in the on/run postion.
You think maybe the Jeep needs to be running to make changes?

Re: Another Uconnect Glitch?

I've had an experience with another setting that required the engine to be running, but I can't remember what it was now. (Senior moment)

Re: Another Uconnect Glitch?

Thanks Jacko, I will give it a try. You would think that bit of information should be in the manual. I read the paper and online manual and nowhere does it state that I could find, that the engine needs to be running to make some changes. Gotta love Jeep Garage.

Re: Another Uconnect Glitch?

New to the forum, just joined today exactly for this issue. Whether in ACC, RUN, or with the engine running, the remote start comfort setting for the heated/vented seats will not stick. It shows as not being selected. I push the selection, the check mark appears and about 3-5 seconds later it disappears. I took it into the dealer on Thursday and they have no idea what the problem is. This is frustrating because even though the option is not selected, the heated/vented seats still come on at startup. My wife is always cold, she wants the option turned off in the warmer weather.

Same problem here. In addition, the check box for active crash/braking does the same thing. Check it, and it unchecks itself after a few seconds.

Also, my phone book only loads the contacts that it wants to, skipping about 60% of my contacts.

I thought that I was done with craziness like this when I traded my Ford Edge with Sync....I guess not.

Same thing with mine. The setting will not stick and every time I start the Jeep my vented seats are on.

Try selecting the setting with the Jeep running, thats the only way to get my setting to stick with the active braking selection. Jacko figured that one out.

Mine is doing exactly the same thing... noticed it the other day, since winter is on the way lol.....not sure if the heated seat/wheel are working or not when the Jeep starts and the button is unchecked, but I will try to investigate. It just hasn't been below the 40 degree threshold to activate the heated seats/wheel on start to check it. Just kind of another little annoying flaw, and odd that I have to wonder if its going to work! I would expect it to work when checked, and not work when unchecked.... It would be nice if the Jeep gave me the option
My video here is with the Jeep running, but it does the same in the ACC mode.

Same problem here. I have noticed that having the car Off/ACC/Run does NOT change the fact that I CANNOT activate/deactivate - "the remote start comfort setting for the heated/vented seats" See my YouTube video -

FYI - I went to the Jeep dealer yesterday to see if the other Jeeps on the lot have the same problem with activating/deactivating this feature setting. They did NOT have a Summit 4x4, only a 4x2. The Uconnect version on that Jeep was 13.29.8 (mine is 13.19.0). I was able to activate/check-deactivate/uncheck the "the remote start comfort setting for the heated/vented seats" with no problem. So, I guess it's a problem specific to the 13.19.0 version.

Has anyone had any success solving the above problem?

Another thing. The Jeep DVD that came with the car has a manual on it that describes the 8.4AM "System Settings". There's one setting listed on the DVD that I do NOT actually see on the Uconnect "System Settings" in the Jeep. On the DVD, the section is titled - "Customer Programmable Features — Uconnect® Access 8.4 Settings" -> subsection "Air Suspension – If Equipped ". In there it mentions a System Setting called -> "Auto Entry/Exit Suspension" - Description reads "When this feature is selected, the vehicle lowers the suspension for easy entry/exit. Touch the box next to your selection and a check-mark appears next to the feature showing the system has been activated or the check-mark is removed showing the system has been deactivated." My Uconnect 13.19.0 does NOT show this setting. Does anyone's system show this Setting Option??

Appreciate your help/feedback...

Re: Another Uconnect Glitch?

The auto lowering was not included until more recent builds. I believe Milous said if your vehicle doesn't have it, it never will.

It was discussed in a recent thread.
