I had it into the dealer today to look into the clunking noise. Their diagnosis after reproducing the noise and looking underneath for a while but failing to find anything amiss - it's the stuff in the spare tire area. The tech decided to pull the stuff out of there as a last-ditch effort to try to cure it, not expecting it to actually be the problem, but found that the clunking noise goes away when he's removed the foam and the bins and the jack. When he put it back in, the clunk returned. The woman at the service dept. called it a design flaw and said she documented it with Chrysler so if there's a pattern hopefully they'll fix it.
