Being 6'4 this is one thing that immediately struck me when viewing the first wk2 interior pics. This is the first thing that rules out many vehicles for me and I cant believe manufacturers do not take this into account. How tall are you?

I'm your height and was pleasantly surprised by the front headroom, even with the sunroof.

Although we don't yet own one, I've driven a couple, including an Overland before they became Elvis sightings. I can live with the PITA console hemming in legroom, although these hulks keep growing each year like alien pods in a sci-fi movie. But, yes, it's annoying not to be able to stretch out and much change the position of your legs. Shifting your leg position helps prevent clots and cramps, too.

Like Daniel Boone, give me elbow room. I'll be shoehorned in a coffin eventually, but don't want to be cramped up and boxed in before that time!

Bet if you took a poll that far more women than men like large consoles. My wife puts enough stuff in them for a safari in Tanzania.

Sorry I didn't reply sooner - I forgot to keep following this thread. I'm 6'2", mostly legs. If i move the seat back to where someone my height should have it, my knee doesn't touch. This should give an idea of what I mean when I say I tend to like to drive with the seat too far forward: My wife and I both drive both of our cars every day. When I get in after she's been driving, I don't adjust the seat. She's 5'5". I like having the steering wheel close to me (think nascar driver) as opposed to having my arms stretched out (think F1 driver).

Re: Any glitches after weeks of driving?

First problem: One of my fog lights is out. I've only had them turned on three times so far and one's out. Hopefully the dealer will replace it for free because it's shouldn't have burned out.

Second problem: I'm taking it in for the shudder TSB because I'm really noticing it now.

Re: Any glitches after weeks of driving?

I have a Laredo X with the Hemi, picked it up on July 24th and like someone else earlier, drove it on vacation later that week. I've now got about 2600 miles on it and have no major issues.

Minor issues:
Radio: while on vacation the hard drive was suddenly not available. Couldn't find the hard drive or connect my Ipod. Shut the engine off and restarted and it was fine. Hasn't happened again. 430 without Nav

Washer Nozzle leaking: Washer fluid leaks from the seam between the nozzle and the hood on the passenger side. Drips down the hood and dries. Waiting for the dealer to get the part in.

Driver seat: My seat seems to have a little latteral play in it every now and again while cornering. Just noticed this and am waiting to see if it happens again before calling it in. Not sure if it was in my head or not.

Throttle/Shifting: Seems to be a little rough off the line at times and the shifting is not as smooth as I would like, I expected the shifting being an older 5speed but I think I need to see if the TSB has been applied to mine, that could be the hesitation off the line.

Overall I am very pleased with the vehical and am just as excited to get behind the wheel as I was the day I bought it. If I can spend 10 hours behind the wheel coming home from vacation and happily jump back in to go get some groceries, they must be doing something right.

The TSB applies to all WK2s built before July 26th. Given that you got yours July 24th, yours doesn't have the TSB applied.

The only question would be whether the dealer applied it proactively when I got my oil cahnged last week (switched to synthetic) or even during dealer prep. When was it released?

Re: Any glitches after weeks of driving?

If they applied the TSB to the computer, they would need to have also placed a sticker there to tell that it was done. Just look under the hood...no need to call the dealership.
