Anyone else notice loose seat backs in the rear bench seat?

I have a 2015 High Altitude and noticed both sides of the rear seat, seat backs have play in them. For example if you grab the top with your hand you can sort of jiggle it front to back a little. I have also noticed you can do the same if you are sitting in the seat. If you move the top half of your body the seat back is a little loose and has play in it. Both sides of the split folding seat do it. When I was at a dealership a couple months back I checked out a couple other WK2s and noticed another one did have play in it, while others were rock solid. So it might be a somewhat common thing if I noticed another have the same issue. It certainly is not normal for any seat to have play in it, and my previous 2014 Summit had rock solid rear seat backs. I have also messed with the seat back adjustment handles and it does it in all reclined settings the same. It was kind of weird to word it right, but just to clarify I am talking about the REAR SEATS.
I did not see any TSBs at WK2jeeps regarding this.

Yes, I have the same issue, on the passenger side rear seat only, in my 15 Summit. I am going to bring it to the attention to my service advisor during my next service visit.

Thanks for checking guys. So that seems to be my own observation as well from checking some at dealerships and between my two WK2's. Its about 50/50 if the rear seats are tight or not. Its not a huge deal to me as I literally never have rear seat passengers, but still its kind of just the fact that I know its not how it should be. When I was testing it and sitting in the back seat even just moving around normally you can tell its loose. I would mess with it myself but after a brief looking over it doesn't look like anything is easily accessible. Maybe I'll try and look into it a little more in depth today and see what I can come up with. I would much rather take care of it myself then have a dirty mechanics hands all over my car....especially if its maybe as simple as tightening something. Now if its a defective mechanism then obviously its gonna have to taken care of at the dealer.

Both sides have been slightly loose on my '15 Summit since I drove it off the lot. I figure the dealer will screw it up more if I tell them about it.

I agree, thats why I may just leave it as is. It's not a huge deal anyway even if rear seat passengers are a everyday thing.
The other day I did some digging around in there and I couldn't see anything. So unless I remove the seat entirely it doesn't look like it would be an easy fix and its just not worth screwing around with. Oh well, just one of those things.

Re: Anyone else notice loose seat backs in the rear bench seat?

^^Yeah it definitely sucks. Not right to be like that on a nice new ride but even worse that the dealer will probably mess it up worse if you were to try and get it fixed.
