Are both your FOBs the same?

I just picked up a 2011 Grand Cherokee Overland with the remote start and power lift gate and one of my FOBs have buttons for the remote start and power lift gate. The other only has lock and unlock buttons. Did anyone else get two different FOBs or are both of yours the same?

Yes, they should both have the lift gate and remote start.

Re: Are both your FOBs the same?

Interesting. I wonder why mine are different then. I have a message out to the dealer asking why. For those that have two of the same, do yours have the button dedicated to the lift gate glass like the manual shows? Mine doesn't.

Re: Are both your FOBs the same?

Both of mine have the lift gate glass button on them. I read somewhere that Chrysler was going to remove the lift gate glass button because too many where accidentally opening the window while the key fob was in their pockets. You may have the new fobs...but either way, they both should be the same unless you have one old and one new.

Both should be identical in functions and color. You need to program each one to accept memory 1 or 2. I then had to mark which was which.
My previous GC had two different colored FOBs, black and gray, for memory 1 and 2.

Mine are identical, and mine was early enough I have the liftgate glass button on each.

Re: Are both your FOBs the same?

The dealer lost one and used what he had in stock to replace it.

Re: Are both your FOBs the same?

Well it turns out they gave me a FOB that belongs to a different vehicle. I guess I should have tried both of them before I left the dealership.
