Re: Attention WK2 3.6L owners - New TSB for Shudder, harsh shifts, performance and mo

I have had my first service and the dealer say there is nothing wrong, i really dont think there is any malfunction just, for me anyway a bad match between auto and engine and i am very dissapointed, when over 2000 revs the v6 noise is pretty ordinary, and gearbox not knowing what to do. I should have got the diesel but it was a bit over my budget.

Re: Attention WK2 3.6L owners - New TSB for Shudder, harsh shifts, performance and mo

I had to argue a point about a TSB with my local dealership, kept telling me it was NOT applicable to my truck. I printed it out..Took it in and told them.."I called chrysler" they guys at the customer center called the guys at the star center, and they told me to tell you to DO THIS!.... Don't give up. Dealerships do factory work for about 35 cents on the dollar. If they have "paying customers" they will NOT want to do the factory work until they have openings. It may just be they had billable work to do and could not fit you in and wanted to buy some time...

Re: Attention WK2 3.6L owners - New TSB for Shudder, harsh shifts, performance and mo

Hello all i just purchased a 2012 jgc loredo x and i have been reading this forum for awhile now trying to see if the issues that the 2011 jgc had been having are resolved in the 2012 models. Also does anyone know if they started giving the true on/off road tires instead of the touring tires with the advt pckg 2? As well as the sluggish acceleration issue? any help would be much appreciated.

My 2012 v6 Limited definitely has the shudder, however not the other issues in the TSB, although I've only just exited the 300 mi engine break in period. I feel the shudder when accelerating from 55-70 on slight inclines or maintaining 55 on moderate inclines. Rhythmic rumbling from transmission off and on in 1 sec intervals, increasing in frequency as speed increases.

Were it to be that simple. Highway is smoothly paved. Shudder is felt distinctly through the accelerator pedal.

Is there a charge for the updates? I have a 2011 GC and have noticed a slight hesitation.

If your vehicle is still under warranty than Technical Service Bulletins are free of charge to you. Print out the TSB in question, highlite the symptoms you are experiencing and show this to the dealer. Be firm, but polite. Don't back down though.

Re: Attention WK2 3.6L owners - New TSB for Shudder, harsh shifts, performance and mo

HELP! I complained about the symptoms to my local dealer and they said they could not replicate them of course. The issue I have is the lack of performance (like it upshifts to 3rd to fast) it presents an deadspot essentially. If I drive in sport mode it is a bit better and more responsive. They told me all updates were already done... I am not sure I believe them. How can I check if they updated the PCM and TCM plus flashed them? I am not sure where the PCM is but I have an authorized software update sticker on a unit in my engine compartment. How can I check if this has the proper update and flash of them? Thanks for any help!!
