Re: Attention WK2 3.6L owners - New TSB for Shudder, harsh shifts, performance and mo

Your dealer can check that info for you in a matter of seconds. His database is much more accurate than anything we can conjecture here.

^^ (or just find the build date.. if its before November 12, 2013... then its for you)

i still get a hard shift here or there.. but the acceleration issue is gone. it goes when you press the gas.

Just got the latest flash from the dealer, definitely is an improvement, hopefully they keep finding ways to make the jeep better and better by improving the small annoyances.

Not to start a fight and I'm sorry if I misunderstand you, but what are you saying here exactly? That one can just give their VIN number to the service person at the dealership, and they can find any TSB that your vehicle may qualify for?

If this is what you're saying, this scenario certainly didn't work for me. Three different dealerships (including the one I bought the vehicle at) all told me my vehicle was fully up to date on all TSBs after I gave them my VIN number...even after I showed them the copies of the TSBs I wanted implemented. For the record, all my complaints about the vehicle that the TSBs would address could easily be replicated.

Ultimately it took lodging a complaint to Chrysler Customer Care in order to get a dealership to implement the TSBs my vehicle qualified for and needed.

This is why jeep needs to use the vin, instead of the elusive build date, which by the way, no one can seem to furnish for me.

I think it really comes down to the dealership and service department..the build date was supplied to me in two second by two different service departments, however, one told me my jeep didn't qualify for any tsb's and acted oblivious to the fact this particular one even existed. The second dealer was not only aware of the shift enhancement update but did it without question

Sorry to hear you can't find a dealership that cooperates with it's customers. I'm at a disadvantage in this argument. My dealership is staffed by some pretty standup guys who really try to take care of customer problems. Either that, or my reputation as a disgruntled ex postal employee has preceded me. My dealer accesses the Chrysler database, and using my VIN, they're able to see what has, and hasn't been, done to my vehicle. Also, they can see my free oil changes, and MaxCare service contract. It does really boil down to finding a good dealer.

Re: Attention WK2 3.6L owners - New TSB for Shudder, harsh shifts, performance and mo

I ended up trading in my POS early build (4/13) 2014 GC Limited 4x4 V6...giving Jeep one more try, and getting a later build (12/13) 2014 GC Overland 4x4 V6.

Now after only 5,000 miles, I'm experiencing transmission issues once again...

Damn it...Now My 2014 Overland Has A Transmission Issue!
