Re: Auto Highbeam

This feature seems like something they could keep tweeking to make it function better and better so I would expect it to improve over time. Point being, I just got my MY2013 and I am extremely impressed with this feature. Road signs, markers, moons... nothing affects the lights, but as soon as I can see a car off in the distance (headlights or tail lights) they shut off. When the car passes they come back on full strength instantly. Just one more feature I didn't expect to love, but do.

Re: Auto Highbeam

The vehicle speed seems to enter into it as well. An example - when I wait for opposing traffic to clear before turning left into my driveway, the lights will of course be dimmed. After the traffic clears, the high beams don't come on even though there are no street lights. I think the low speed is the reason.

I would like to see a 3-position wand - high, auto, and low beams. That way you could select high beams as desired without having to hold the wand or change the menu settings. As others have mentioned, the lights, once dimmed, don't go back to high beam if there are brights signs or street lights. This time of year in western PA, we need every advantage to see deer approaching the road.
