Backup camera video

As anyone noticed the 2014 backup camera video is "jerky" at times? Just wondering if that's normal or something to do with mine. It seems to be "freezing" intermittently and only very momentarily when I am using it...making the video seem to stutter a bit...

My stuttering started after the most recent update too.

agree last update did something because when I had new radio installed it had the new version and thats when I noticed it. Maybe someone who is not on the latest version could be so kind and test if backup cam is jerky or staggering?

thanks - agree we are on to something.

I noticed the same thing. Definitely has something to do with the last Uconnect update...

My camera was fine on 13.19. I updated to 13.38, still good.
The dealer "updated" me back to 13.19, all ok. I upgraded again to 13.38 ... all is good with the back up camera.

It might be related to the update, but not in my Jeep.

Here's my "me too" post. A few of the members on the forum urged me to upgrade, glad I did. Having only owned the Jeep for about a month, I was hating the uConnect system and thought it was absolute garbage. Menus took forever to switch, as well as a lot of other annoyances. Upgrading did away with a lot of those.

But I could have sworn that the backup video wasn't jerky before. Glad to see, once again, it's not just me.

I did the 13.48.3 update over a week ago, and my back-up camera has been, and is working fine. I don't know if the problem is just a coincidence, or is related to the update, but the update hasn't affected the performance of my camera at all, making me believe something else is at play here.

I have not resolved - it continues to work terribly. Have an appt with dealer to look at this - and pano roof rattles. Will let you know of progress.. May be time for a poll - certainly the last u connect update did NOT resolve - and the one prior - seems to have caused the issue...
