battery failure with power seats

Hey folks, stupid question time. I have not had my battery fail, but was wondering. IF my battery dies and it is under the seat, and if my seats are power seats, how do I move the seats to get to the battery?

Re: battery failure with power seats

With jumper cables, which connect under the hood. Or, remove the seat which is not a big deal.

Always good to ask these questions before something happens.

Re: battery failure with power seats

I keep a HF tool kit in the heep which has the proper socket for the seat bolts. Worst case you pull the seat (4 bolts and some plugs). May be able to just rock enough to get at battery while plugged in (haven't tried). Jump box would be easier.

Re: battery failure with power seats

Given the amount of electrickery on the JGC, I now carry long jumper cables in the spare tire area.

Re: battery failure with power seats

My trunk is full of trailer stuff. Jumpers go under the rear seat.
