Beeper keeps running, even when off!

Anyone else experience this:

I started the 2014 GC Overland today and put it in reverse to back out of a parking space. The rear/cross traffic beeper was active and I saw a car behind me. After it passed, I backing out, but it kept beeping, even when I was driving forward. I drove around to another part of a shopping center and parked, yet it was still beeping. I turned it off and got out to look at the exterior, yet it was still beeping. I drove home, with it beeping all the way. I parked in my driveway, instead of garage, and turned it off and we got out. It was still beeping! I was about to go to a dealership, something I don't have time for, when it quit. I started it and parked in the garage.

With 129 views and no other posts, I guess this problem is unique. It has not yet re-occurred.

Never has happened to me but if it happens to you again I would try the trusty "reboot" AKA disconnect the battery, drain any residual charge in the system and then reconnect the battery after a minute.

Re: Beeper keeps running, even when off!

I believe I would have driven straight to the dealership while it was beeping.

Have not experienced this.
Anything blocking the sensors? Like dust/dirt a big bug, bird droppings...etc?
I would of tried, what you did, by turning vehicle off and restarting. Would of thought this action would of corrected it.

Hoping it was just a slight glitch, that may never rear its head again.
G'luck

Re: Beeper keeps running, even when off!

I think the new Uconnect update may have a fix for this....I thought I read something about it in the TSB.

UPDATE: in the TSB, it says a ParkSense tone "continuously" on. Not sure if that means its stays beeping, or if it means one long tone, like beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee-------. lol!
