Big Waterleak in Garage after driving in the rain

I have about 2 quarts of water on the Garage Floor after driving in the rain.
That is without AC drain, the water is just dripping out of the felt inner fender liners. I got tired of mopping up the floor, so I put buckets under the car to collect the water. It takes about 1 to 2 hours for all the water to drip out.
Anyone found way prevent this?

let it evaporate or install a drain in the floor

i noticed this with mine too..and my damn garage was not graded right when they did the concrete and the water doesn't go to my drain... the jeeps water drip is just as much as my other vehicles snow buildup drip in the winter..kinda crazy...i chalk it up to the felt retaining water...wonder how much more weight we lug around when they are wet?

Re: Big Waterleak in Garage after driving in the rain

This was recommended in another post. I have not tried it myself to see if it prevents buildup of snow and/or water, or how long it lasts. It might help.

Uh, let it evaporate? It is just water...it is not going to eat through the garage floor.

I don't know how to stop that but have you thought about getting one of those large rubber squeeges from Lowes or Home Depot? You know, the one where you just kind of push the water out of your garage. Much easier than moping. I use it for snow coming off the vehicle in winter.

Don't blame it on Jeep that your garage floor wasn't graded correctly or no one thought not to take the sheetrock all the way to the floor with a layer or brick/etc along the bottom. What do you do with any of your other cars after rain or snow?

Not blaming anything on the jeep. It's been a PIA in winter with my other cars.. The jeep just does it with rain too which I thought was odd the first time I saw it happen. Then I realized it was from the felt wheel wells. I blame the builder for 1 not grading it right and 2 not running atleast one layer of block along the bottom of the garage wall. You were the one with the "it's just water it won't eat through concrete comment" hah. Really it won't?

Re: Big Waterleak in Garage after driving in the rain

Masonry on the bottom 8" above grade is required by the Building Code. Did your builder use drywall over that?

I don't think.. The entire house(bi level) is above grade on a slab.. On the garage outside wall I can see the block above grade.. But the garage floor I believe is to the top of that block.. It's drywalled and baseboard down to the floor. Which to me is stupid in a garage..
