Re: Biggest Disappointment

To me the only real disappointment has been working with the dealers. The Limited was purchased from one dealer and basically I was led down the lane by a salesman that knew about as much about GC's as nuclear physics I think. Told me the truck had QL on it and due to the fact it was dark and after 9:00PM I didn't realize that it didn't. So we bought it thinking it had it when it actually didn't. Which falls on me obviously but I was still irritated, when we discussed the issue they acted like it wasn't their problem and the salesmen couldn't be reached. It didn't really matter, my wife will never use QL. It's just the point. The second dealer was much better but still, car salesman are lawyers without the education as far as I'm concerned. The 2011 is a great vehicle, I love driving it. I get compliments all the time. The bugs…well everything has bugs. I honestly can’t remember too many things I have purchased, dishwasher, GPS, marine engine, flat screen TV’s etc etc etc that were completely without some kind of problem big or small.

I love my Grands, snows coming tonight in Illinois!

Re: Biggest Disappointment

would appreciate your opinion on 20" vs 18" stock tire performance in snow and other conditions as well. pretty big difference in tirerack ratings, but not sure how this translates in real world. you owning 2 different GCs is a great resource for those of us trying to decide what to order. thx

Re: Biggest Disappointment

There is actually a bigger difference between snow tires and all seasons, than there is between summer tires and all seasons. In other words, all season tires are pretty bad in the snow/ice, and there probably isn't too much difference between the stock 18s and 20s.

Re: Biggest Disappointment

i'll know more about the snow tomorrow. I like the 20" but there's not much out there for tire choices, the 18" have more but still not as many as the 16 and 17". I guess that will change. I do really like the vented seats on the Limited and HID lights. The Laredo obviously doesnt have that. But I really wanted the QD2 and QL, with 2 in the garage an Overland just wasn't in the budget. The main difference is really the QL, I think the Limited standard suspension is more stiff then the QL. I notice that every time I switch from one to another.

I second that. And snow performance is not what I expected - the all wheel drive system feels extremly lazy. There is a big delay in shifting power from slipping rear wheels to the front...

Re: Biggest Disappointment

RER/uConnect incompatible with iPhone 4. That is the biggest disappointment right there.

Re: Biggest Disappointment

Poor snow performance....despite the most sophisticated 4WD to date (QDII) and fitted with winter tires. This is comparing it to my previous grand Cherokees ('94, '98, '02) and my '09 Audi A4 Quattro.

Now, I hear there is an ESC update to increase the sensitivity of the system but I have not seen any reports of how it changes anything.

Re: Biggest Disappointment

1. No Power folding mirrors.
2. No Rear Fog Lamp(s)
3. Wish I could chose what tire I wanted when ordering (Michlein LTX MS/2).

Other than that its an awesome vehicle!!!

Re: Biggest Disappointment

1.Yeah No power folding mirrors is very annoying.
2.The gap between the seats and the center I seem to drop my wallet or phone down there quite a bit.
3. The little shelf in the center console is useless as its not fully sealed and little things(change mainly) fall into the big console if you upon it up to high.
4. No coin slots area in the center console.

Other than that shes a bute

Re: Biggest Disappointment

Snow performance during the 20 plus inches on the ground has been awesome! I have the 20's on my overland and I was one of the few cars that could drive on the unplowed streets. When it's in snow mode it never slips.
