Did they happen to fail while she was putting on her makeup?

They are not supposed to rely on a visual inspection alone. They are supposed to pull a vacuum leak check to make sure there is not corrosion.

No ticket was issued as the police were advised that it was caused by mechanical failure of the Grand Cherokee. Major damage to building and Jeep.
And we are still waiting for the booster kits.

Re: Brake Booster recall

A bad booster does not cause brake failure! It only means you have to press a little harder.

I was thinking the same thing. I suspect the booster failed and she panicked rather than standing on the brake pedal with both feet.

So it's still below freezing up there? Who advised the police it was caused by a mechanical failure of the Grand Cherokee?

Ha.
That's a good question. Damage was extensive to both the building and the Grand Cherokee. There was a small article about it in the newspaper, but no further details provided.

We're in the San Francisco Bay Area, haven't seen any "cold", "snow", or "road salt" out here in a loooong time. (And they don't "salt" the roads out here.) In fact we were just hit with a mandatory 25% water reduction or face increased fees and fines because of the drought.

Let's see... you're under a "drought", they don't use "salt" on your roads and you don't get "cold" weather.

Sounds like you have nothing to worry about then. Right?
