I did say I really had no idea. An obvious farce since June only has 30 days.

This is indeed factual. Why hasn't anyone on this forum gone to the dealership and inquire about it? Because the people questioning this know the real answer. Everything we do at FCA is logic based and based on software application.

Am I working with a recycled cluster or sensor? or is this just some weird tech glitch? Either way, not a huge fan.

After an oil change and a few updates/flashes/downloads mine said last O/C was at 65xxx km with 12xxx kn on the clock......I guess my warranty is up! Just another of the litany of glitches .....

Try resetting it 3 or 4 times......that's what it took for mine.

Re: Brand new 2015 jeep, oil reset lights says "last reset 40631 mi"

Hi. I'm new to the group. I joined because I too, was looking for the answer to this. I have a 2015 Grand Cherokee Summit with 9800 miles. I bought it used with approx 5,000 miles. My odometer says 40631 since last reset. It didn't reset after my oil change. It only shows up with the ignition on and the engine off. I am not going to get worked up over it since it appears to be a common occurrence with Chrysler. Ironically, the same odometer number was seen on a Dodge Ram. Thank you. Kelly

Is the ignition in the RUN position or ACC? Must be in the RUN position for the gauges to be accurate.

Thank you Red. It is definitely correct when the engine is running (RUN). I will check it all again tomorrow (ACC) and advise. Thanks again. Kelly
